The Challenge

Reinterpret iconic horror figures in a way that feels fresh and contemporary, while maintaining recognizability and visual impact within a limited daily format.

Approach

Used construction paper, bold paint, and clean linework to create pop-art-inspired compositions that reference classic portrayals while introducing a modern, ironic twist.

Focused on strong silhouettes and simplified forms to ensure each character remains instantly recognizable.

The Result

Produced a cohesive illustration series that balances homage and reinterpretation, later adapted into prints and greeting cards.

Work was published online and featured in the Atlantic Gallery’s Vignettes exhibition.
