The Challenge

Develop a narrative that balances grounded, everyday moments with fantastical elements, while maintaining clarity and flow in a short sequential format.

Approach

Explored dynamic panel composition and framing to move between realism and fantasy, using visual shifts to guide tone and pacing.

Originally developed in black and white, then adapted with color for inclusion in Emanata, enhancing mood and readability.

The Result

Produced a visually engaging short comic that demonstrates strong sequential storytelling and the ability to blend grounded narrative with imaginative elements.

First published in a self-published comic showcase and later in Emanata #12.
