The Challenge

Tell a complete, emotionally resonant story within a limited page count, using visual storytelling to establish tone and structure.

Approach

Developed the visual narrative first, using composition, pacing, and imagery to define the tone and arc of the piece.

Collaborated with the writer to let the text build off the imagery, creating a close relationship between image and language.

The Result

Produced a compact, atmospheric comic that brings horror, science fiction, and poetry together into a strange, slightly unsettling piece, demonstrating strong control of tone and narrative within a short format.
